Wethersfield Police Department Adds Pair of Cruisers to Its Fleet

WETHERSFIELD, CT — The Wethersfield Police Department has two new cruisers in service.

They were officially unveiled this month.

One is a Ford Taurus sedan and the other s is a Ford sport utility vehicle. The Taurus is the newer version of the Ford Police Interceptor after the Crown Victoria version was discontinued in 2001. Shortly after, the SUV cruisers became a popular option with police departments, especially those in the Northeast that face winter weather.
