Wethersfield Police Department Climate Study Released

(Last week) "the Town of Wethersfield released an independent, comprehensive organizational climate study of the Wethersfield Police Department (WPD) which took place over the past four months.

"Dr. Lisa Barao from Westfield State University and Dr. Chelsea Farrell from the University of Rhode Island conducted the organizational climate study. The report used employee surveys, employee interviews, and internal affairs case data to produce findings within three areas: transparency, communication, fairness; workplace environment and officer wellness; and equipment, resources, and training.

“The purpose of this study was to holistically evaluate the historical workplace experiences and perceptions of officers and civilian employees in the WPD by conducting an independent organizational climate assessment,” said Dr. Barao and Dr. Farrell.
