Wethersfield Police Planning Canine Memorial

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Wethersfield police said they are in the process of getting a memorial statute dedicated to police dogs.

Police said Thor, a police dog who died last month in the line of duty and the department's and first canine, Hunter, will be listed on the memorial.

The funds to pay for the memorial will come from a special canine fund, police said. Police said they are currently accepting donations to the Canine Fund and at any time in any amount.

Police did not say how much the memorial would cost of where it would be placed.
