Wethersfield Police Resolve Standoff With Armed Man

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A man was hospitalized following the peaceful resolution of a standoff with Wethersfield police, NBC CT reported. Officers were called to the home on Westwood Hill around 2 p.m. Thursday due to reports of a man in the house with a gun.

Police arrived to find a family safely outside. The man was inside and yelled at the officers to go away.

However, he later came outside after speaking with negotiators. No shots were fired, according to NBC CT.

Police said the incident was resolved without injuries to the subject or officers.
