Wethersfield School Administrator Headed to Vernon
A Wethersfield administrator was named the new principal at Rockville High School on Monday night.
VERNON, CT - Local education administrator Susan Czapla was named the new principal at Rockville High School on Monday night.
The Vernon Board of Education endorsed Superintendent of Schools Joseph Macary's appointment at its regularly scheduled meeting. She is slated to start on Oct. 1.
Czapla heads to Vernon from Silas Deane Middle School in Wethersfield, where she was principal since 2015. While there, she was named the Connecticut Association of Schools outstanding first-year principal.

From 2008 to 2015, she was the associate principal at South Windsor High School and from 2007 to 2008, she was the assistant principal at Hartford's Bulkeley High School.
Czapla was the elementary school science coordinator for the Hartford system for five years prior to her administrative career and had taught science in the city from 1989 to 2002.
