WPD Announces Passing of Retired Wethersfield Police Sergeant Jack Goldberg

WETHERSFIELD, CT — Retired Wethersfield police sergeant Jack Goldberg has passed away, the department announced Monday.

Goldberg was a former U.S. Marine known to lead by enforcing “winter” and “summer” rules.

"He was well respected by the community," the department said in a Facebook post.

Goldberg was also know for enjoying what he did.

"He was feared by teenage boys with mischief on their minds," officers quipped on Facebook. "Jack will be sorely missed."

Funeral arrangements were imcomplete Monday morning.
