WILTON, CT — Wilton officials are proposing a series of infrastructure, school and recreation projects as part of the town’s Fiscal Year 2027 budget plan ahead of a public vote next month.
The proposed budget represents a 2.69% increase over the previous year, according to the First Selectman’s office.
In addition to operating expenses, the plan includes a list of capital projects that would be funded through bonding, subject to approval at the annual Town Meeting on May 5.
Among the proposed projects:
Town officials said the bonding plan focuses on maintaining infrastructure, improving school facilities and expanding recreational offerings.
The pickleball courts, in particular, reflect growing demand for the sport, which officials said has become one of the most sought-after recreational activities in town.
Residents will have the opportunity to vote on the proposals at the Town Meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. May 5 at the Clune Center.
