WILTON, CT — Wilton residents will vote this week on a proposed $48.5 million town budget that includes funding for new pickleball courts and major school repair projects.
The Annual Town Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, May 5 at 7 p.m. in the Clune Auditorium at Wilton High School, 395 Danbury Road. Additional voting will take place Saturday, May 9 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The proposed spending plan represents an increase of about $1.5 million, or 3.25 percent, compared to the current budget, according to town documents.
Included in the proposal is approximately $300,000 for new pickleball courts, along with funding for school facility upgrades such as roofing, structural repairs and other maintenance work.
Town officials have said the investments are aimed at addressing long-term infrastructure needs while also expanding recreational opportunities for residents.
Voters will ultimately decide on the budget, bonding and mill rate as part of Wilton’s Annual Town Meeting process.
