WILTON, CT — Firefighters rescued a man trapped inside an attic in Wilton, according to officials.
The incident happened April 30 at a residential address, where crews were dispatched for a report of a person trapped in attic rafters, the Wilton Fire Department said.
Firefighters arrived to find an injured man who had fallen within the attic and become lodged between rafters, causing part of the sheetrock ceiling below to collapse, officials said.
Crews used a fold-down attic ladder along with a rope system and stretcher to safely remove the man from the space.
After being extricated, the patient was treated by EMS and transported by ambulance to Norwalk Hospital, according to the fire department.
