WILTON, CT — A driver was arrested Sunday after Wilton police said a license plate reader alerted officers to an active warrant during a traffic stop on Danbury Road.
Police said officers stopped a 2010 Nissan Murano near the Norwalk town line on May 17 after a license plate reader identified the vehicle’s registered owner as having an active warrant.
According to police, the driver was taken into custody on a warrant charging failure to appear in the second degree stemming from prior motor vehicle charges in Norwalk.
Police said the driver was processed and later released after posting 7 percent of a $10,000 bond. A court appearance is scheduled for May 28 in Stamford Superior Court.
