Coronavirus Wilton: Library Shuttered 'Until Further Notice'

The Library had hoped to re-open in April.

WILTON, CT — The Wilton Library will remain closed to the public until further notice, in compliance with Governor Lamont’s Executive Order 7H mandating that all nonprofits reduce their on-site workforce by 100 percent. The Library had hoped to re-open in April.

Elaine Tai-Lauria, the Library's executive director, made the announcement on Monday.

Along with the closing, Tai-Lauria said that the Library's "Gigantic April Book Sale," along with other programs scheduled for the month, including the community-wide reading program, Wilton Reads 2020 Tales of the Jazz Age, have been postponed.

Tai-Lauria has advised that residents are able to download eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines, stream movies,TV shows and music, learn new skills and languages, all through the library’s Digital Library and research databases through the library's website, using their Wilton Library card.
