Drunk Man Comes to Pick Up Friend Charged With DUI: Wilton Police
The man is also facing charges for speeding.

A Stamford man who came to the Wilton Police headquarters to pick up a friend who had been arrested for a DUI ended up being arrested on the same charge.
According to police, Mario Ortiz-Montenegro, 31, of Stamford appeared intoxicated when he came to police headquarters around 1:20 a.m. on Dec. 12. Police told Ortiz-Montenegro to ask a friend to pick him up.
Police said Ortiz-Montenegro was seen getting into the driver’s side of his car and leave the parking lot. He was traveling 60 miles per hour in a posted 40 miles per hour zone when police caught up to him.

Ortiz-Montenegro was charged with speeding and driving under the influence. He was released on a promise to appear in court Dec. 22.
