Fire Station Renovations in the Works in Wilton

Renovating Wilton Fire Department’s “Station 2” to make it functional for another 25 years is the goal of the town officials.

According to an article in the Wilton Bulletin, the Board of Selectmen voted at a recent meeting to approve a revised statement of requirements affecting the condition of the building, located at 707 Ridgefield Rd. in North Wilton.

In addition to the original requirements of a roof extension and building a second floor, the station also requires an evaluation of the septic system, larger doors and an improved sprinkler system, the story said.
