Fundraiser to Support Wilton Officer Battling Cancer

The fundraiser will support Thomas Tunny, known as TJ.

The Wilton Police Department is organizing a fundraiser to assist a 31-year veteran of the department in his fight against cancer. The fundraiser will support, Thomas Tunney, known as TJ.

“He has given so much to so many in the Wilton Community and he now, more than ever, needs assistance,” David Hartman, President of the Wilton Police Benevolent Association said in a press release.

To help with donations, residents can mail of deliver a check to the Wilton Police Department, located at 240 Danbury Road. All checks should be made out to the Wilton PBA with ”TJ” written in the memo section. The PBA is also hosting a fundraiser at the Ponus Yacht Club in Stamford on Jan. 7 from 6-10 p.m.

All donations will support TJ and his sister to help pay for expenses they have due to his illness or to a fund of his choosing. Tickets for the fundraiser are $40 can be bought at the Wilton Police Department or by contacting Wilton PBA president, David Hartman at 203-834-6260 or via email at david.hartman@wiltonct.org.
