Installation of Natural Gas Pipeline in Wilton Continues

The work is expected to continue through August 2015.

Crews continued operations on the installation of a 3,100 foot long natural gas pipeline on Wolfpit Road.

According to the news release, on July 6, the crew began work at 3 Oakledge Lane and 6 Wolfpit Lane, working east toward the intersection of Wolfpit Road and Horseshoe Road.

On July 7, the crew began east of 175 Wolfpit Road, working east toward the intersection of Wolfpit Road and Horseshoe Road. It is expected that the crew will install approximately 300 feet, ending opposite 158 Wolfpit Road.

What You Can Expect:

  • Construction will occur between 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
  • Eversource will maintain access to residences and businesses, as well as ensure priority passage of emergency vehicle traffic through construction areas.
  • Construction activities will take place at multiple sites along the route until the project is completed.
  • Work zones will be protected from pedestrians and vehicles.
  • Police officers or flagmen will oversee traffic control.
  • This work is expected to continue through August 15, 2015.
