Man Charged with DUI in Wilton Faces Deportation

Investigation revealed that the man was wanted by ICE.

A Danbury man charged with driving under the influence faces deportation.

According to police, a vehicle driven by Natividad Ruano-Grijalva, 37 was stopped after Wilton police say the car was operating “all over the road”.

The incident occurred on May 5 around 11:42 p.m. near the Wilton/Norwalk town line.

Ruano-Grijalva was found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Ruano’s license had been suspended for a previous DUI charge and further investigation revealed that he was wanted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to be deported.

He was charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive right, unregistered vehicle and having a suspended license.

Ruano-Grijalva was held on a $1000 bond and given a court date of May 6.
