Man Facing DUI Charge After Driving Into Mailbox in Wilton

A Trumbull man is facing a DUI charge after police say he was involved in an accident in Wilton where he drove into a mailbox.

According to police, Kyle Nestor, 24 was allegedly texting when he drove his vehicle off the road and to the right first striking a mailbox and then to the left ending in a resting position in a lawn on Westport Road.

Police said Nestor was found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and was taken into custody on June 27.

Nestor was charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive right and distracted driving.

He was released on a promise to appear in court on July 7.
