Man Facing Strangulation, Assault Charge in Wilton Domestic Incident

Two people were arrested after a domestic incident at a Wilton home.

Police responded to a Wilton home on May 29 for report of a domestic incident around midnight involving a boyfriend and a girlfriend.

The incident involved a physical confrontation, police said.

A 28-year-old Wilton woman was charged with disorderly conduct. She was given a court date of May 29.

Upon further investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for the boyfriend, John Jacques, 32, of Stratford. He was charged with disorderly conduct, second-degree strangulation and third-degree assault. Jacques was given a court date of June 1.

The Wilton Bulletin reports that the woman attempted to end the relationship, leading to the confrontation.
