Medical Helicopter to Land at Allens Meadow in Wilton

The Yale New Haven Hospital “SkyHealth” medical helicopter will be landing at Allens Meadow Saturday as part of as part of an orientation and training exercise for the Wilton Fire Department, CERT, Wilton Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Wilton Police Department.

The plane will be landing around 2 p.m.. The helicopter is expected to soon be available to transport critical patients to area hospitals from remote areas of town or when normal traffic routes are impassable.

Authorities advise residents not to be alarmed if they see a low flying helicopter above Wilton.
