New Details Emerge on Wilton Bank Robber, Police Offering Reward
Police are now offering a reward for information related to the robbery.

WILTON, CT — The car used in the robbery of Fairfield County Bank on Danbury Road in the Georgetown section of Wilton was previously used during an attempted robbery in Southport, Wilton police announced Friday. Police are also offering a reward for information.
According to police, the man attempted to rob the People's United Bank on Old Post Road in Southport, but was denied entry by an employee who said the bank was closing. The robber was described as a white male standing 5'10" in his twenties, similar to the description of the Georgetown robber.
Police say the man was driving a 1997 green Honda Accord 4 Door purchased for $380 on the internet site "Letgo". Police interviewed the seller, who said he sold the car to a black man with braids in his hair. A Stamford address was written on the bill of sale.
