Outages Remain: 39 In Wilton As Of Wednesday Afternoon

Approximately 30 of those outages are related to a pole issue on Newtown Turnpike.

As of 3:15 p.m., Eversource reported 39 outages. Approximately 30 of those outages are related to a pole issue on Newtown Turnpike. The issue is impacting customers on Newtown Turnpike and surrounding roads. Captains Conlan and Cipolla have been engaged with Eversource. We set up a group email to facilitate updates. If you are outside that area and have an outage and would like to verify that it is on the Eversource outage list, please email Jackie and CC me. We have the Eversource outage list by street and number.

As of 8:00 a.m. this morning, there were 3,348 Fairfield County Optimum customers without service. 199 of those customers were in Wilton. A number of those customers have since been restored.

Optimum informed us they will automatically issue customers credits for the outage period. You no longer need to apply for the credit.
