Red Cross Names Wilton Sites for Blood Drive

WILTON, CT — The American Red Cross has established two blood donation sites in Town during the critical holiday season.

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, more than 1 million units of blood could be transfused in the United States. Residents are urged to give a lifesaving gift this holiday season by making an appointment to donate blood or platelets and help the American Red Cross ensure a sufficient supply is available for patients throughout the holiday season. Those with type O blood are especially needed.

The Red Cross will be accepting blood donations at The Greens at Cannondale, located at 435 Danbury Road, on Dec. 12 from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m, and at the Wilton Library, located at 137 Old Ridgefield Road, on Dec. 23 from 1-6:30 p.m.
