The neighborhood lies along Route 7.
Future development of Branchville was the subject of a recent workshop at the Ridgefield Public Library.
According to an article in the Ridgefield Press, Francisco Gomes, a project manager from Hartford-based planning consultant Fitzgerald & Halliday Inc., gathered information over three days from about 60 Ridgefield residents to shape a vision for the neighborhood.
Invited to the meetings were all residents, property owners, business owners and other interested parties.

Participants were able to use an electronic voting system with hand clickers to tell what kinds of things they would like to see in Branchville, the Press said.
An extensive online survey was also accessible, asking such questions as how tall buildings should be and how much parking should be made available.
