Stamford Man Speeding Charged with DUI in Wilton

A vehicle traveling above the speed limit on Danbury Road while straddling the dotted line was stopped by police on March 17.

The driver, Diego Pintado Pinto, 30, of Stamford was found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, police said. Pintado-Pinto was also not in possession of a valid driver’s license.

He was charged with driving under the influence, traveling too fast, failure to drive right and not having a license.

Pintado-Pinto was released on a promise to appear in court on March 30.
