Structure Fire Rips Through Wilton Home

Over 30 firefighters helped battle a structure fire that destroyed a Shady Lane home Thursday evening.

WILTON, CT — A Shadow Lane home was ruled a total loss after a fire ripped through causing irreparable damage structure Thursday evening, according to multiple reports including the Wilton Bulletin.

Between 30 and 35 Firefighters responded to the large two-story home at around 7 p.m. Thursday night. Chief Ronald Kanterman told the Bulletin that the fire marshal will be at the home Friday to determine the cause.

According to the Wilton Community Emergency Response Team's (CERT) Facebook Page, Hurlbut Street was closed so that fire trucks could shuttle water from the nearest fire hydrant.

Multiple media reports indicate that nobody was injured as a result of the blaze. The Wilton Firefighters Local 2233 posted on Facebook that New Canaan, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Westport and Weston responded to the blaze.
