SUV Crash Into Wilton Pond Under Investigation, Including Driver's BAC

The accident that occurred at the intersection of Horseshoe Road and River Road on Monday is currently under investigation.

According to police, one vehicle was stopped for a stop sign on River Road at the junction with Horseshoe Road when it was read ended by another vehicle.

“The offending vehicle then pushed the first vehicle forward and continued to do so until the first vehicle went off the roadway and into the pond,” police said.

According to the Wilton Bulletin, an investigation into whether the driver of the offending vehicle was intoxicated at the time of the crash would also be conducted.

The accident is currently under investigation.
