UPDATE: Over 1,000 Still Without Power In Wilton
There are still a good number of residents with no estimated time for recovery, First Selectwoman Lynne Vanderslice said.
From First Selectwoman Lynne Vanderslice:
Since mid-morning, we have seen a significant increase in crews working in Wilton, including Dudley Rd, Newtown Turnpike and many along the Nod Hill line which accounts for 28% of the remaining outages.
Since this morning 481 customers have had their power restored. Should the current crew levels remain, Eversource has a good chance of meeting today’s promised ETRs. There are still a good number of residents with no ETR, so we will push hard for the crews to return tomorrow.
Primary voting is today until 8:00pm. Absentee ballots can be dropped off in the ballot box outside of Police Headquarters. Yesterday, the Governor issued an executive order allowing for ballots postmarked today and received by Thursday to be counted.
