Wilton Drivers: I-95 South Exit 14 Goes to Two Lanes Thursday

Here's the first solid benefit from the project to make that section of I-95 easier to drive. But expect highway delays Wednesday night.

An announcement from the Connecticut Department of Transportation:

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is continuing the improvements of Interstate 95 and Route 1 in Norwalk.

As part of the work, the southbound Exit 14 off-ramp will be reopened as a two lane exit with increased capacity for traffic entering US Route 1 on Thursday morning, Dec. 18, 2014, weather permitting.

The new reconfigured off-ramp will provide increased capacity with a two-lane exit, two left turn lanes and one right turn lane onto Route 1.

These improvements should relieve some of the traffic delays on I-95 southbound traveling through Norwalk.
