Wilton Farmers Market Seeks Coordinator

WILTON, CT-- The Wilton Chamber of Commerce is seeking a part-time market coordinator for the Wilton Farmers’ Market.

The Wilton Farmer’s Market takes place on Wednesdays from 12-5 p.m. beginning in June and lasting through October. This market is held at the Wilton Historical Society.

The year-round position includes pre/post season planning, in-season operations, distribution of promotional materials and more. The market coordinator reports to the executive director of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce.

The following are some of the job responsibilities:

• Direct and oversee market operations
• Maintain and uphold market policies and procedures
• Organize, analyze and manage information, vendors and any guests or volunteers
• Create and manage market related programming
• Develop and enhance outreach efforts
• Publicize and promote the market via website, Facebook, Twitter, newsletters
  
• Work with the Wilton Chamber of Commerce and Wilton Historical Society
• Coordinate both a kick-off and wrap-up meeting with vendors and other involved parties
• Oversee and manage emergency and time sensitive situations
• Create a marketplace that is safe, clean and welcoming to customers and vendors
• Ability to easily move around the market and perform occasional light lifting
• Coordinate vendor relationships
