Wilton K-9 Gets New Handler

Wilton Police Officer Eric Patenaude is currently being trained to be Enzo's new handler.

WILTON, CT — The Wilton Police Department’s K-9 officer Enzo, a 5-year-old German Shepherd, is getting a new handler, according to the Wilton Villager.

His previous handler was recently promoted to Sergeant and his new handler, Officer Eric Patenaude, is currently being trained, the paper reported.

According to the paper, Patenaude has extensive experience handling explosive ordinance dogs for the U.S. Marines in Afghanistan. He returned from duty in 2012 and has a rescue German Shepherd at home.
