Wilton Kicks Off Bicentennial Celebration This Weekend
The festivities will be going on all year!

WILTON, CT --- The town kicks off its 200th anniversary celebration this weekend, with more events scheduled throughout the year. These will include tours of historic sites, dinners, reenactments, and events at Camp Saratoga.
Friday night opening ceremonies include a re-enactment of the town's first meeting at the fountain in the Wilton Mall performed by Captain Giles Kellogg's Company of Artillery, in the fountain area in the Wilton Mall, Route 50. The event begins at 7:00 p.m.
On Saturday, the town is offering self-guided historic site tours. Tours begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Wilton Heritage Museum, 5 Parkhurst Road, Gansevoort, and run through 3:00 p.m. Maps of 13 local sites will be available at the museum.

During the same period on Saturday, there will be a demonstration of life in the 1800s at Camp Saratoga, 80 Scout Road, Gansevoort.
On Sunday at noon, there will be a ribbon-cutting for the bicentennial trail at Camp Saratoga.
