Wilton Opens Weekend Cooling Center

The town is making it easy for residents to beat the heat.

WILTON, CT — With the National Weather Service issuing a rare "excessive heat warning" for the weekend through 8 p.m. Sunday, the town is taking special precautions to ensure residents remain cool and collected.

The Comstock Community Center will be open as a cooling center on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residents are welcome to use the facility, including the gym and classrooms. The Senior Center will also be open. A building monitor will be on hand.
