Wilton PD Seek Public's Help for Mailbox Hit-and-Run Incident

Wilton police are investigating an incident that occurred on Sunday in which a dark colored SUV crashed into a mailbox and left the scene.

Police said a black Range Rover hit the mailbox at 27 Deforest Lane in Wilton at 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 7. Police said the vehicle was later seen with heavy front-end damage on South Bald Hill Road and North Wilton Road in New Canaan.

The driver of the vehicle was described by police as 5’10” with dark curly hair. The passenger is descroibed as 6’ tall with long shaggy dark hair. Both looked to be in their late teens or early twenties.
