Wilton Police Arrest Texas Man With High-Capacity Magazines

WILTON, CT --- Police arrested a Texas man without a valid pistol permit in possession of high-capacity magazines.

Wilton Police report they received a complaint of a suspicious person soliciting door to door. After making contact with the solicitors and some further investigation, police recovered a loaded handgun from one of the vehicles. The gun belonged to Texas resident Jared Lee Dement who did not have a valid pistol permit. He also possessed high-capacity magazines which were not registered. Dement was released on $5,000 bond.
