Wilton Police Blotter: DUI; Possession of Marijuana; Second Degree Threatening
Wilton police arrested a NY man for operating under the influence and failure to carry a license after they found him asleep at the wheel.

All the information below is provided by the Wilton Police Department and all the charges are accusations until proven guilty.
- Peter Shanazu, 72, of Fairfield, was arrested for driving under the influence by Wilton police on Jan. 10 after a motor vehicle stop on Danbury Road and Seeley Road.
- Brendan Burba, 28, or Rye, New York was arrested for operating under the influence and failure to carry a license after Wilton police found him asleep at the wheel in the area of Ridgefield Road near Deforest Road. He was taken into police custody and released on a promise to appear in court. His court date is set for Jan. 21.
- On Jan. 8 between 4 and 5 p.m. police found a home located at 139 Hulda Hill Road with the door kicked in. It is now known who the suspects are. Residents reported that prescription medication and remote controls were taken. Police later found the items in a bedside drawer and the entire drawer and contents were taken by police for further investigation.
- On Jan. 6, Keith Ryan, 46, of Wilton, was arrested for second degree threatening.
- Jordan Welch, 48, of West Haven, was arrested on Jan. 6 with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and failure to have stop lamps operational.
- On Jan, 5 Wilton police arrested a 20-year-old Ridgefield woman in the area of Ridgefield Road and Belden Hill Road in Wilton. Police observed Laura Elizabeth Azzara swerving to the left over the double yellow line. When they pulled her over they smelled an odor of marijuana and found her to be in possession of marijuana, smoking pipes and a grinder. They charged her with possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia.
