Wilton Teacher Accused Sexually Assaulting Teen in Trumbull Appears in Court

Timothy Leonard, the Wilton teacher accused of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old teen in a Trumbull parking lot had his case continued and hasn’t entered a plea yet.

Leonard appeared in court Wednesday and is scheduled to appear again on June 24. His lawyer requested more time to review evidence before they enter a plea, according to the Trumbull Times.

Leonard was charged with fourth-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a child after he was allegedly found parked in a lot on Quarry Road Feb. 10.

Police believe there was sexual contact and that the two met using a dating app. Leonard told police that he liked college-age men and denied knowing the reported victim was underage.
