Wilton Woman Left Kids Unsupervised: Police

The woman allegedly went shopping.

A Wilton woman is facing charges after police say she left her two children unsupervised while she went to Walmart.

Police responded to a residence on Danbury Road on Sept. 18 for a well being check on two children playing unsupervised. A neighbor told police they saw the mother get into the car and leave.

The two children were aged 6 and 8 and were playing in the grassy area near the street in the Avalon Complex, police said.

Lin Vaccaro, 48, was charged with leaving a child unsupervised in a place of public accommodation. She was given a court date of Sept. 28.
