Woman Arrested for DUI After Swerving Into Oncoming Traffic in Wilton: Police
Police said that a fellow driver had stopped the swerving vehicle.

WILTON, CT — A Norwalk woman was arrested for driving under the influence Thursday after police say she was swerving all over the road and into oncoming traffic.
Eleanor Behringer, 59, of Norwalk was arrested after policed found her and a caller who reported the alleged erratic driving on the intersection of Chestnut Hill Road and Westport Road. Police say that Behringer did not complete field sobriety tests to standard and was placed under arrest.
According to the police report, Norwalk police told Wilton officers that a driver was attempting to stop Behringer's 2010 Subaru Forester which was swerving all over the road at around 6:33 p.m. Thursday. Police later found the two stopped in the intersection.

Behringer is set to appear in court on March 6 for charges of driving under the influence.
