Woman Found Sleeping in Car Facing DUI Charge: Wilton PD

The car was still running, police said.

A New Fairfield woman is facing a DUI charge after police say she was found sleeping in the front seat of her car while it was still running.

Wilton Police received a report of a vehicle driving erratically while driving traveling southbound on Danbury Road near Bruce Bennett Nissan on Dec. 12 around 6:35 p.m. The car then pulled into the Mobil Gas Station near West Church Street.

Officers found Jenna Sommo, 28, of New Fairfield sleeping in the car. Officers woke up Sommo who said she was “tired from work,” police said.

Four prescription bottles all prescribed to Sommo were found in the vehicle, police said. She did not submit to chemical testing to determine whether she was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
