'Is Your Daughter Safe?' Wilton Library Hosts Self-Awareness Talk
The presenter is the CEO of the Maren Sanchez Home Foundation, named after her daughter who was stabbed to death by a classmate.
WILTON, CT — The Wilton Domestic Violence Task Force, Wilton Teen PeaceWorks and Wilton Library want to know, "Is your daughter safe?"
That's the promotional hook for a lecture being given by Donna Cimarelli of the Maren Sanchez Foundation on Oct. 10 at the library.
The presentation, "Her-Self Awareness Lecture," is meant to educate young people on how to use situational awareness to identify pre-incident indicators that can result in dangerous situations. The presentation also provides strategies on how to be an informed and active bystander to thwart what could potentially be a dangerous situation, according to a release.
