Windham Special Town Meeting to Vote on $790k Municipal Budget instead of Sept 22 Referendum

SAVE THE DATE! The Windham Town Council voted on August 5th to send the General Government budget to a Special Town Meeting on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.
At this meeting, electors will consider the General Government budget proposal, which utilizes $790,224 in state supplemental aid to keep the municipal mill rate flat.
🚨 PLEASE NOTE: The exact time and location for this meeting have not yet been formally established by the Town Clerk's official "Warning of Town Meeting." Historically, major town meetings are held around 7:00 PM at either the Windham Community/Senior Center (1 Jillson Square) or the Town Hall Bellingham Auditorium.
