‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️Town Council - ‼️‼️CANCELED‼️‼️

Thanks to Councilwoman Dawn Niles for updating me on this cancellation.
She received no agenda on Friday so she asked the Town Manager and he said they are on their summer schedule. Transparency would have been letting us all know that there even is a summer schedule but that is a question for another day. It is hard not to see the convenience in this situation.
👀🐾 Watchdog Focus: The Democratic Committee made a statement on their Facebook page about setting a time and date for those in the community who may want to speak and offer solutions for the Mayors most recent blunder.
It cannot be sugarcoated and calling it a mere blunder doesn't give us the proper energy behind those words. Therefore, the threat made to parents in this community, specifically the Latino community, must be dealt with.
And now apparently we know that it may not be dealt with swiftly.

Watchdog Focus: Reviewing the Board of Finance's recent decision on the 26/27 budget and year-to-date budget updates. The committee will also discuss the Football Co-op and updates on outside groups using Windham Public Schools facilities.
We are tracking whether the BOE (all boards) and the BOF will ensure our local Registrars have the support necessary for the budget referendum and that it does not interfere too much with upcoming election schedules.
Scheduling the referendum for September 22nd was a conscious choice set by the BOF even after asking for and denying the Registrars advice for an earlier date. The BOF chairperson himself stated the September 22nd date is a strategic move to have the vote scheduled when school is in session. He claimed that the law has changed and the BOE can push for yes votes. I am currently unsure of which new or changed law he is referring to.
