WINDSOR, CT — A $20 investment in a CT Lottery scratch ticket bought at a local supermarket turned into a $25,000 payday for a Windsor woman.

Viola Whilby bought the lucky $500,000 Extravaganza! ticket at Geissler's on Broad Street. She claimed her winnings May 5, according to the CT Lottery website.

The CT Lottery posts winners of $10,000 or more as public record.
