WINDSOR, CT — Windsor Public Schools has pushed back the last day of school for most students by one week after using six snow days during the 2025-26 school year.
In a letter dated April 22, Acting Superintendent of Schools Dr. Noha Abdel-Hady said the Board of Education approved the change at its regular April meeting.
The last day of school for students in pre-kindergarten through Grade 11 had originally been set for Monday, June 8. It is now scheduled for Monday, June 15.
Abdel-Hady said the change reflects the six snow days used this school year. The Connecticut State Department of Education requires school districts to be in session for at least 180 school days, with any days beyond that left to the discretion of each district’s board of education.
The district also said Monday, June 15, will be an early release day for all students.
Windsor High School’s graduation date was not changed. According to the letter, commencement remains scheduled for Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
