The 95-acre parcel is part of the Mill Brook Greenway. The hike will be led by master naturalist Brad Robinson and will follow woods, meadows and trails, according to Traprock Ridge Land Conservancy.

Stops will be made along the route to point out native species and invasive plants. The group also said many areas are being “rewilded,” allowing plants and wildlife to flourish.

Birds are abundant in the area, according to the land conservancy.

The hike is described as moderate, with some rolling hills. Participants may break off at any point and return to the starting area.

Leashed dogs are permitted. There is no rain date.

Participants are asked to meet in the parking lot at 2 p.m. Registration is available through Traprock Ridge Land Conservancy.

Traprock Ridge Land Conservancy works to protect open space and promote public appreciation of the natural environment in Bloomfield, East Granby, West Hartford and Windsor.
