WINDSOR, CT — Route 159 and nearby Interstate 91 ramps have fully reopened after a motorcycle crash caused closures early Friday morning, officials said.
The crash occurred on Route 159 near the I-91 ramps in Windsor. The Connecticut Department of Transportation said the road was closed in both directions between the I-91 northbound and southbound on- and off-ramps after the crash was reported around 1:23 a.m. Friday.
The Windsor Volunteer Fire Department responded to the initial incident at 1:01 a.m., the Windsor Fire Marshal confirmed. Firefighters also responded at 5:27 a.m. to assist the police department with scene cleanup, according to the fire marshal.
The I-91 northbound Exit 34 offramp was also closed for several hours, according to CTDOT.
Route 159 reopened around 6 a.m., and the affected ramps have since fully reopened.
Connecticut State Police said troopers assisted Windsor police and referred questions about the case to the Windsor Police Department.
Additional details about the crash were not immediately available Friday morning. It was unclear whether anyone was injured.
