Enfield Man Killed In Violent I-91 Crash In Windsor: Police

A 35-year-old Enfield man died after his vehicle crashed and was struck by another car on I-91 in Windsor, state police said.

WINDSOR/ENFIELD, CT — An Enfield man was killed early Sunday after his vehicle crashed on Interstate 91 North in Windsor and was then struck by another car, according to Connecticut State Police.

The crash occurred at approximately 3:41 a.m. near Exit 38 on I-91 North, state police said in an accident report released Monday morning.

According to a preliminary accident summary, a 2006 Chevrolet Malibu driven by David M. Csaszar, 35, of Enfield, was traveling north on I-91 just north of the Exit 37 on-ramp when, for reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a metal guardrail on the right shoulder.

The Malibu then crossed all lanes of travel, collided with the concrete median barrier, rolled onto its side, and came to rest in the center lane, according to police.

While disabled in the roadway, the Malibu was struck by a 2008 Infiniti G35 driven by a 22-year-old Windsor man.

Csaszar was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 22-year-old Windsor man suffered possible injuries and was transported by Windsor EMS to Hartford Hospital, according to the accident report.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
