WINDSOR, CT — Boston Pickle Club plans to open a 37,000-square-foot indoor facility on Day Hill Road in October, giving area players another year-round place to play.
The company announced Tuesday that the club, now under construction at 20 Day Hill Road, will be its first Connecticut location and its largest so far.
The two-story club will have 12 indoor courts, ceilings topping 20 feet, locker rooms, a pro shop and several areas where players can gather before and after games. Plans also include a bar, outdoor patio and event space.
A second-floor mezzanine will overlook the courts and include a conference room and training area, according to the company's website.
"Windsor just felt like the right next step for Boston Pickle Club," Chief Growth Officer Mike Wilmot said.
The club plans to run leagues, tournaments, lessons, clinics, open-play sessions and youth programs. It will also host private parties and corporate events.
Town records show the project has been in the works for some time. Windsor Town Council minutes from October 2025 listed a pickleball facility at 20 Day Hill Road among recently approved developments.
Windsor wetlands officials discussed the property again in January after questions were raised about clearing behind the building site. Town staff said the work did not affect wetlands or nearby upland review areas.
The Windsor club will be Boston Pickle Club's third location. Its other clubs are in Boston's Hyde Park neighborhood and Norwell, Massachusetts. Both opened in 2024 and together have more than 1,300 active members, according to the company.
An exact opening date has not been released. The company said discounted early memberships will be offered later in August.
