📰 News we're reading

• Windsor Office Building Could Become Apartments (patch.com) — Residents in Windsor's Day Hill Road corridor may see another office building transformed into housing, as a proposal to convert 7 Waterside Crossing into 57 apartments heads to a Sept. 9 public hearing. The project follows other office-to-apartment conversions at Waterside Crossing and reflects Windsor's new zoning rules that encourage adaptive reuse with resident amenities.

• Residents raise privacy concerns over license plate readers in New London (wfsb.com) — A Windsor-based privacy advocate who previously challenged license plate readers in town is now helping raise similar concerns in New London, where residents questioned how Flock camera data is used and stored. Organizers say opposition to automated license plate readers is growing across Connecticut, with Windsor cited as one of several communities pushing back and planning petitions and ordinances.
