โข I-291 Westbound Returns To Two Lanes (patch.com) โ Drivers in Windsor and South Windsor will soon see relief on I-291 westbound, as the Bissell Bridge is returning to two travel lanes between Exit 2 and Exit 1D. The Connecticut Department of Transportation says this restored configuration, part of a multi-year rehabilitation project, should remain in place through spring 2027, though weather or construction issues could still cause adjustments.

That discovery spurred Windsor officials to tighten data access, then ultimately shut the system down, influencing South Windsor and other towns now rethinking how much AI-powered surveillance they want on local roads.
